It’s almost the weekend again, which means farewel It’s almost the weekend again, which means farewell to February half term for another year. But don’t spend the next few days hunting for the PE kits - there’s plenty still going on in and around the city, from Viking marches to Lego building. Well here’s a little reminder that just changing things up locally can feel like an adventure. We hopped on a train up to Newcastle this week to see family, and even though it’s just an hour away and we only went for a day, it felt really good to have a change of scene and do something different. As luck would have it, it turns out that @fenwickofficial has an amazing @jellycat department now, so the kids were thrilled. There are nice walks by the river, some great free museums and lots of nice places to eat. We only booked our train tickets the night before through the @lner app and managed to get them for under £40 return including seat reservations. Pretty good value for having left it so late, and so much more relaxing than driving. And no need to hunt for your passports, either…
